Thabiti Anyabwile is the senior pastor of First Baptist Church of Grand Cayman. A native of Lexington, North Carolina, he is the happy husband of Kristie and the adoring father of two daughters, Afiya and Eden, and a son, Titus. He served previously as an elder and assistant pastor at Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Washington D.C. and as an elder at Church on the Rock in Raleigh, North Carolina. Thabiti holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in psychology from North Carolina State University. A former high school basketball coach and bookstore owner, he enjoys preaching, reading, sports, and watching sci-fi films. He is the author of three books: What Is a Healthy Church Member? (Crossway, 2008); The Decline of African-American Theology (IVP, 2007); and The Faithful Preacher (Crossway, 2007).
