The Rev. Tony Welty is a musician, writer, husband, father, athlete, preacher and pastor. He currently serves as an associate rector at St. George's Episcopal Church, Nashville, Tenn., where he is engaged in young adult and family ministry, and where he serves as chaplain to the St. George's Kindergarten.
After graduating from Ole Miss with a degree in finance, Tony spent several years in the corporate world before experiencing a dramatic conversion to the Christian faith and eventually attended seminary. Since graduating from Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry with a Master of Divinity degree, Tony has served as a parish priest in Pennsylvania, Illinois, and Tennessee. In June 2006, Tony and his wife, Cherie, and their four children, Anna, Manning, Charles and Caroline, moved with their yellow lab, Ella, to the Nashville area.
He recently wrote Ricardo the Fierce, his first children's book.
