Letter from Elders

Dear Volunteer:

We are pleased that you have expressed an interest in participating as a volunteer in the Children's or Student Ministries of our church for the glory of God. It is a privilege to be involved in this endeavor together, and we want it to be a truly joyful experience for you.

Soon you will be joining (or are already involved with) other friends who are serving the Lord in this way, and we could not offer ministries to our children and young people without committed people like you.

These ministries involve the most treasured possessions of our church's families—their children. Therefore:

  • We must provide a thoroughly safe environment for them.
  • Their parents must be confident that reasonable steps have been taken by the church to protect their children.
  • We must have consistent procedures that ensure the protection and safety of the volunteers.

A high level of care and protection requires thorough planning and complete record keeping.  That's why we're asking you to complete an application and other forms.  You must complete an application in order to serve in these ministries.

Thank you for your willingness to take these necessary steps for serving our children and our Lord Jesus Christ.
