There are four basic reasons scheduling is critical for effective facility management:

  • Scheduling ensures all areas of the facility are cleaned. Schedules are comprehensive, and they consider all the tasks. Some tasks will be routine, like weekly maintenance and housekeeping actions. Other tasks will be periodic.
  • Scheduling distributes the work appropriately and equally. Schedulers visualize the job with knowledge of what the task entails and the expectations of time to completion.
